This two-hour class will introduce you to handbuilding techniques where you will learn how to create functional pottery and sculptures using various tools and ceramic equipment. We’ll explore a variety of decorating techniques, such as slip trailing, sgraffito, water etching and stenciling. Students will make cups, plates, vases, pitchers, boxes and a human bust or animal head. No experience necessary. All levels are welcome. You might get dirty, so wear an old shirt or apron, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Wear an old shirt that you wouldn’t mind getting a little dirty. No experience necessary.
