Course Description

In this class we begin in the studio working monochromatically in reed pen & ink and Le Pen marker and experiment with line and tonal wash painting observing branches, bark and colorful floral stills. We will explore line (contour, gesture, rhythm and angular drawing), color value and tone with limited warm and cool colors and then full color watercolor working from primary color stills. For the last two weeks we will work outside (weather permitting) in the spring landscape. These classes are for intermediate through advanced artists. Please see the supply list on the website.
