Take the next step to more advanced glazing techniques with this hands-on workshop. Demonstrations will cover bubble glazing, peacock glazing, and clump glazing as we get more involved in layering multiple glazes. We’ll take a look at brush work and types of brushes used for glazing. Strategies for glazing large, difficult and/or textured work will be addressed. And finally, a discussion on what are flux glazes and how to use them. Prerequisite: Must have some knowledge of glazing
Students should bring 3-4 pieces of bisque to glaze. The pieces should be NO LARGER than 8” x 6” x 6”.
All pieces that are intended to be used in this class should be on the bisque firing shelf NO LATER than Tuesday, May 27th.
Clay and Firing fees are not included in this class.
