This mixed media painting is comprised of oil paint, cold wax, encaustic wax, graphite, pastel, and paper. It is part of a series whose subjects come from the researching of endangered species, and discovering the longest living life forms on earth. It juxtaposes the humor of the somewhat random words with the shape, line, and beauty of the endangered quahog. Quahog's can live up to 400 years and are endangered.
