This exhibition explores the many facets and developments of printmaking in modern East Asia, where the technology first emerged. Modern artists in and from Japan, China, and Korea employ early processes of woodblock printing, etching, and lithography in new and innovative ways, while also incorporating contemporary media, such as computer printing and animation, to create a striking array of traditional and current imagery.

3pm Heejung Cho – Printmaking Practice and Process
Exhibiting artist Heejung Cho presents and demonstrate her artistic process, techniques, and the concepts behind her works in the current exhibition, Making A Good Impression: Art on Paper from Japan, China, and Korea, as well as discussing her journey from woodworking to printmaking.
This talk and demonstration will be followed by refreshments to celebrate the end of the 2024 season.
