This mixed media work was inspired by the poem of the same name written by T.S. Eliot. It depicts a bluebird that is dead, but returns to life when the piece is illuminated. Cruel April examines the themes of death, longing, and the ability we have as humans to keep loved ones alive in our hearts and minds.
