Images of Devotion: Works on Paper from East and West from the Helen and Mitche Kunzman Collection
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 7th, 3-5pm
There may be many meanings to the word devotion and its use varies with its context. There is religious or spiritual devotion - or devotion to another individual - or to a political or moral cause. The concept implies a kind of selflessness and the dedication of ourselves to a higher purpose. This exhibition offers a selection of images on paper which explore the common denominators of devotion across centuries and continents.
Accompanying Programs:
Free with museum admission
This talk by Mitche Kunzman is in conjunction with the current exhibition, Images of Devotion: Early Works on
Paper from the Collection of Helen and Mitche Kunzman. Mitche Kunzman, along with his wife Helen, have seen the art collecting world up-close as specialist consultants, certified appraisers, conservators, and art dealer/gallerists. The discussion will be enlivened with many personal anecdotes and commentary based on their decades-long experience in the field of art appraisal and collecting.
