What if you slept…..
by Samuel Taylor Coleridge
What if you slept
And what if
In your sleep
You dreamed
And what if
In your dream
You went to heaven
And there plucked a strange and beautiful flower
And what if
When you awoke
You had that flower in your hand
Ah, what then?
Voices: I Remember
Group Show Artist: George-Ann Gowan
Guild Hall Gallery
June 5 - November, 2021
Curated by Bibiana Huang Matheis
What if it was possible to pass from one reality to another….to transmigrate out of a dream?
What if voices could be heard from a distant place through the collection, the re-collection of everyday objects?
What if the bits of discard commonly seen as ordinary in our lives were actually part of some beautiful past whole?
What if I could re-member my fractured family through art plucked from its existence in another world?
Ah, what then?
