Begun in the early months of the pandemic, WithDRAW is a project about lines, written, drawn and photographed in response to this time of withdrawal.
The drawings take their cues from marks made and erased in sand by the retraction of the sea. These patterns appear as constantly changing scores, photographed during walks on the beach. Drawing into them, lines and gesture are released, a collaboration with the elements and with the poems.
I will be showing 3 drawings and reading two poems from my upcoming book WithDRAW.
