About the Event
1:00pm - Introduction to Zen Nature Meditation – join Martin Zensho Hara for a guided introductory meditation among the garden’s trees, suitable for adults and kids. This event is in participation with August’s Garden for Peace programs held by members of the North American Japanese Garden Association.
2:00-2:30pm - Chinese Pictographs for Kids - inspired by the current exhibition in the gallery, learn about the pictographic history behind Chinese written characters and try your hand at brush writing
3:30-4:00pm - Curators tour of Cloud Wanderings of Wang Mansheng exhibition
Throughout the afternoon, live music provided by Chick’s Candy Store, as well as a scavenger hunt and Chinese nature poetry
