About the Event
In this workshop we will connect to ourselves, connect with each other and connect to the environment and art in a site responsive workshop open to all levels of movers, non-dancers and dancers. We will dance with and among the current art exhibitions in the museum and, weather permitting, the Japanese Stroll Garden. Beginners are welcome for a fun, creative, and playful experience that is great for mind, body, and spirit. Spaces are limited and participants should wear comfortable clothing.
Marsi Burns, Independent dance artist, improvisational performer, educator and choreographer lives and dances in NYC and Florida. The video recording of her improvisational dance One with the Gardens is part of the current exhibition at the Hammond, A Plethora of Plants: Real, Observed, Imagined.
