The inspiration for "Bittersweet with Blue Spider” came about while I was walking in Central Park on a hot summers day and rested on a bench in a wooden gazebo on one of the parks rock outcropping. I looked up at the bright sun through the Bittersweet branches and the varied insects and I decided that when I returned to my studio I would capture the image with dyes on silk.
